Love is Winning: Zach Hunter
A couple years ago, at the age of 15, Zach Hunter discovered some disturbing news. He found out that slavery of human beings is not something that stopped with William Wilberforce or the Civil War. He found out that slavery is a very real, present, and horrific reality for thousands of people today all around the world and even in the United States.
He felt bad, but he didn’t let feeling bad be the end to his response. He wanted love to win. He knew love could win now because Jesus’ love wins in the end. So, Zach allowed his feelings to be transformed into actions. He started an organization called Loose Change to Loosen Chains.
Here’s his story and how God’s Love is Winning through him:
What’s your passion? How do you think God wants to use you to show that God’s Love is Winning?
Its really insparational to see someone my own age do somthing so big and great for others. I’d have to say that my passion would be to educate others about the outdoors and doing things that they never thought they could do.

Wow! Zach is 15 and he is doing all of this! I wish I had the resources to do stuff that helps the world. I Thank God for what he has done in my life and I pray that he will use me everyday whether it is to help someone who has started a movement or work through me to do something great. I want to show that Love is Truly Winning!

my passion is too probably help feed those in africa and all over the world who are homeless and are starving. God probably wants us to put some of the money we have out to them to help those in need.

That is so cool to see someone who saw a need and actually took action! When I see someone my just a year older than me do something like that it…….inspires me to take action myself and stop injustice.
I guess my passion is teach about the love of God through different sports. Everything applies to God in one way or another because it was created by God and so we can show that love is winning through anything!

I like this kid.
Good responses from you guys too.
Man, I’d have to say my passion is youth. To be able to show that love is winning through the things God has shown me, through taking action on the things that we are told we are to do as Christians in the Bible, and through presenting the love of Christ in a way that is fun.

I would have to agree with Alex on one point, that love is truly winning, but I also wanted to point out that Zach Hunter wasn’t necessarily rich (I happen to have no idea on that point, but that is not why I said that :] ).
Love does not win solely through those with resources, it wins when people like us, just ordinary people are called, and when we RESPOND to what God places on our hearts. I am not saying resources won’t help (cause they will : ] ) but if we choose to act on God’s call, He can provide for what we need.
I would say that art is my passion as a thing, but my passion for others has been a calling to help support programs to end hunger around the world, and also by helping Haiti. I don’t know where or how God will use me in the future, but right now He has shown me how to use my gifts of creativity in order to help others around the world.
I hope God uses me more than he already has, and that someday, I will be able to see that Love has won, and is winning through my life.
